Blogspot vs Wordpress - SIM-2848601 - Jan 14, 2020 Hi, I am planning to creat a blog. So basically, is it safe to register in Blogger or Wordpress then buy a domain and redirect those platform to my domain in a long run? Or I should buy my own webhost, upload wordpress platform and buy a domain with it? If it is safe, which one is better? Wordpress? RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - AmazingLicense - Jan 14, 2020 What do you mean by "safe"? Wordpress is your best choice. You have all the control. RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - LoremIpsum - Jan 14, 2020 WordPress is easy to control, got useful plugins and doesn't really need a lot of coding or CSS to adjust the default themes. SEO speaking I think Blogger would be better for a smaller website or blog, due to being from Google itself and easy to put a website referral link as URL, but for larger websites or blogs I'd choose WordPress due to plugins like Yoast SEO and others which make your SEO work on-page a bit easier. RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - Vibe - Jan 14, 2020 I’d buy a domain and host it my self just better to control it yourself imo. A good host I use for blogs is geekstorage You’ll be able to install Wordpress from the Cpanel with ease, you can also buy a domain from them though I use name cheap for my domains. RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - 01001 - Jan 14, 2020 WordPress would be a better choice, as it would give you full control over almost everything; from links to pages, you can modify them. Besides, SEO is paramount these days. Whereas Google Blogspot would be helpful in terms of Host, Domain (Google would provide that), but a lot of constraints would be there. Nevertheless, everything comes with pros and cons, although WordPress is the best choice! RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - SIM-2848601 - Jan 14, 2020 I already created one in Blogspot https://chobogamers.blogspot.com/ I am now buying a domain, can I transfer my post to wordpress and link my domain into it? So you can use WordPress. RE: Blogspot vs Wordpress - 0to1 - Jan 30, 2020 Wordpress.ORG, not Wordpress.com. Self-hosted, many good themes around, useful plugins, good for SEO, etc the list goes on. You have control over your virtual real estate. |
