Malware analysis - InteNt - Jan 20, 2020

Does anybody have helpful information when in comes to malware analysis? There are sites like valkryie.comodo and virustotal that help analyze potential malware. For me it's hard to distinguish and separate for instance a keygen an actual malware. Can someone elaborate some helpful tips on how to distinguish the difference between a clean program and an actual malicious program through these analysis websites like what to look for?

Like for instance how would you go about looking for clues on a file like this https://valkyrie.comodo.com/get_info?sha1=caad125358d2ae6d217e74cfcd175ac81c43c729

Hello buddy,

In order to see if a program is malicious or not, some websites can help you like those you mentioned. Here is one more : https://www.hybrid-analysis.com

However, if we talk of real malware analysis it means to decompile the source code of the malware, so it means that you should know C languages (C, C++, C#) and Assembly can be useful too.
