Six day project: How China is building a hospital in 6 days - Evading - Jan 28, 2020
In a response to the Coronavirus, China is building a new hospital which will contain 1,000 beds.
Although the initial period for completion given was six days, it is said to take at least another week on top of that.
A second bigger hospital has been commissioned as the 1,000 bed hospital is said to not be enough.
I find it amazing that they can pool so much resources together in such a short time frame to get something built.
A hospital in Beijing named Xiaotangshan was built in seven days in order to accommodate the number of patients showing symptoms of a similar virus called "SARS"
It is said that engineers are being brought in from across the country to complete the construction in the given deadline.
Cars in the city have also been banned and 56 million people in the region are under a travel ban.

My chinese buddy told me about this. I've known China to build large architecture pretty fast, but an entire hospital within 2 weeks? idk, I wonder how many safety hazards n shit they wouldn't pass in the US if they tried this.

I'd say it will be something along the lines of those pre-made compartments just joined together.

I mean with a population of a billion and a serious health issue occurring Im sure they’re sending all the man power needed whether it’s in the actual labor or manufacturing and transporting if needed parts/material. I’m curious to see how well accommodated it will be for such a quick process though.
