Member went offline after I send the funds? How long is an appropriate time to wait? - LoremIpsum - Feb 1, 2020 User completed the contract and left a rating - closed! ✌😎 RE: How long is an appropriate time to wait? - Threat - Feb 1, 2020 If they don't get on after a couple hours or a day I just make the community warning. Member is still offline for almost an hour.. will wait for 2 more hours before I open a warning. I don't want any deal to go wrong, or be accused of not sending funds because the dude went offline without verifying he got my BTC.. I took pictures for proof of the deal including his BTC address so I can proof that I paid, anytime, anywhere. Thank you!
RE: Member went offline after I send the funds? How long is an appropriate time to wait? - Eagle 95 - Feb 1, 2020 Well I usually go offline and do my stuff after someone has sent the money. In some of my extreme cases, it took like 15-20 hours for a btc transaction to be confirmed so obviously I'm not going to wait for that. If it's not some huge transaction, as it's for bytes, I'm sure the deal will go through. RE: Member went offline after I send the funds? How long is an appropriate time to wait? - SirAndrew - Feb 1, 2020 So you both got what was agreed in the contract, he just hasn't been online to confirm it or close the contract? Is that right? As well as planning to buy some Disney+ accounts from another HF member, yet I dislike the fact that a member is talking about "as long as I get the BTC" and disappearing after I sent it. I paid higher fees to get a fast exchange done, and he bails on me. That's my issue here. The funds are 3/3 confirmed already, I paid a higher fee for that. I already have the Bytes, so I will just wait for him to mark the contract as completed. This is just a rude way of doing exchanges, replying fast and talking all kind until I send the funds and then disappearing offline without a word. Anyway, will follow up your advice and wait for a max of 24 hours. Thank you ✌ (Feb 1, 2020 09:47 AM)SirAndrew Wrote: So you both got what was agreed in the contract, he just hasn't been online to confirm it or close the contract? Is that right? I sent BTC to his BTC address which he 'forgot' to put in the contract. So I made a screenshot out of it with his permission. I got my Bytes, but after I send the funds + higher fees to make it a fast exchange, he went offline. Closing this thread now until I get a confirmation from the member with a verification message of his received BTC. Thank you all. |
