Id:Invaded - Discussion - Megane - Feb 9, 2020 Hello, I don't see a discussion thread on this anime, so I thought I'd create one. ![]() Quote:The Mizuhanome System is a highly-advanced development that allows humans to enter one of the most intriguing places in existence—the mind of a criminal. Appearing as a bizarre mess of thoughts, an id well is the manifestation of a murderer's unconscious mind. Kura, a specialized police squad, is tasked with analyzing these complex psychological planes to track down the culprits. Brilliant detective Sakaido assists the police by investigating the id wells and piecing together the countless clues scattered within. You can find more about the anime, here: https://myanimelist.net/anime/40046/Id_Invaded It's highly recommended to keep your posts in spoilers, but there is no way to enforce that since this is a discussion thread and anything goes. Don't get upset if you read something and you aren't up-to-date with the current episodes. As for me, I shall use spoiler codes for the first three episodes. After that, I will not use the spoiler code anymore. I'm usually not into mystery or sci-fi anime, but this anime has piqued my interest. The opening and ending is for sure one of my favorites for this season. A good runner up with Eizouken's opening. This anime has a rating of around 7, close to 8 on MAL. I think that's a reasonably good score. What are you guys thinking of this anime? RE: Id:Invaded - Discussion - Megane - Feb 23, 2020 Very good episode 9. I didn't post a discussion reply for episode 8 because I didn't have much to say. The episode wasn't that enjoyable. Episode 9 made up for it though! A lot has happened in the past two episodes. Momoki was arrested for apparently being John Walker and causing the murders of everyone we've seen so far. There isn't much information on it, other than the fact that police and detectives were able to find paraphernalia related to John Walker, including a body who was later to be discovered as the creator of the Mizuhanome so it could be true that Momoki is really John walker. We haven't seen much of everyone's favorite loli detective, Hondoumachi, since she's trapped in a well and Sakaido and Fukuda, were assigned to help get her out. The desert scenes were very boring but some information was learned and the detective duo was able to find another well inside Momoki. Kaeru, or as we now know her as Aki, has a well inside Momoki. Maybe this is a key to finding out the truth behind everything and Sakaido will find out. While Sakaido and Fukuda are interested in this well that they find, Sakaido ends up going in it first. They both agreed that after 10 minutes the other person will release them from the well. So far he hasn't been released from it, and so much stuff has gone on. I wonder why. Either he never releases him and Sakaido is trapped, or the time in both wells is different. In episode 9, Sakaido went to visit certain cereal killers and put an end to them. Essentially, he did whatever he could to kill them. For the Challenger, he beat and shot him to death. For the guy who cut people's faces off, he probably said something that triggered him psychologically and he ended up hanging himself. I guess he wants to put an end to Kaeru's misery. There's much more I'd like to discuss but I'll just keep it to myself unless someone else wants to talk to me. See you next week! RE: Id:Invaded - Discussion - Megane - Mar 10, 2020 I'm not a big fan of mystery anime. I find myself distracted easily and I usually miss a lot of things. Occasionally, I'll dabble into the territory of anime that I usually don't like and give it a chance. This is one of those anime that changed my perception of the mystery genre. After this, I'll probably continue to shy away from the genre, but this anime left a good mark on me and I am excited to finish it. The first few episodes had me questioning the anime. I did not like it at all. It wasn't until around three to four episodes in that I started to like it. We are now eleven episodes in and have two more to go. The past few episodes where Nariihisago, Honoumachi, and Fukuda have been stuck in the well have been very interesting. We have learned a lot about Kaeru, also known as Kiki, and we find out who the real John Walker is. Oh, boy has the intensity of this show really increased! After reading other discussions threads on another forum, people are also agreeing how awesome this show is. Others have been able to decipher who John Walker was, so props to them. I'm sure if I took the time to observe I could do it myself, but it finds out the chief of the company Hayaseura is the real John Walker. Lastly, we as an omniscient viewer, learn that Kaeru is in the facility. Which is why she's so easily found in the wells. I'm guessing the chief somehow manages to realize that his identity has been found out and takes precautions in the ending preview. We see him unlocking Kaeru from what I'm guessing is a special ID well. This is going to be really interesting! RE: Id:Invaded - Discussion - Megane - Mar 17, 2020 When it comes to mystery anime, I am terrible at explaining the episode in a discussion. This episode was very good. We got a lot of information and a few questions answered. Looks like Fukuda had a little crush on Hondoumachi! I ship them despite him being a serial killer. The last and final episode is going to be interesting I'm sure Kiki and Momoki are going to either have an interesting discussion or an interesting fight. Mr. Hayaseura ends up killing himself and for some that is justice and for others that might not be. The music in this anime is so epic! The opening and the ending is great and the insert song they used during the scene in Hondoumachi's well was awesome. This anime is great exposure for this artist, Miyavi, and his music is great for this anime. RE: Id:Invaded - Discussion - Megane - Mar 23, 2020 The ending was fairly sad. I ship Momoki and Kiki 100%. I thought when he said you can run away to somewhere secluded that he meant that they would run off together. I'm not into fan-fiction but that would be an interesting story to read! I am giving my final rating of this anime a 7/10. Would I recommend this anime? Sort of. If you are into mystery and psychological style anime I would tell you to watch this. If you aren't so much into it, I'd stray away. You'll find yourself bored. Started off really good, and I've yet to see the ending. I can personally recommend this as I like having really smart characters around. Not including comedy is a bonus. However I also think that Kiki Asukai's ability is kind of stupid and sort of inappropriate. Too much information, a lot is going on in every episode and it's very easy to get confused while watching. Other than that, good anime. I'm on episode 13 as we're speaking. I was unsure if I was going to like this anime. As it continued to air, I found myself liking it more and more. I don't really like mystery or psychological anime too much, but I thought I'd give this one a try. |
