Infinite Dendrogram - Discussion - Megane - Feb 16, 2020 Hello, I don't see a discussion thread on this anime, so I thought I'd create one. ![]() Quote:In the year 2043, <Infinite Dendrogram>, the world's first successful full-dive VRMMO was released. In addition to its ability to perfectly simulate the five senses, along with its many other amazing features, the game promised to offer players a world full of infinite possibilities. Nearly two years later, soon-to-be college freshman, Reiji Mukudori, is finally able to buy a copy of the game and start playing. With some help from his experienced older brother, Shuu, and his partner Embryo, Reiji embarks on an adventure into the world of <Infinite Dendrogram>. Just what will he discover and encounter in this game world known for its incredible realism and infinite possibilities? You can find more about the anime, here: https://myanimelist.net/anime/38909/Infinite_Dendrogram It's highly recommended to keep your posts in spoilers, but there is no way to enforce that since this is a discussion thread and anything goes. Don't get upset if you read something and you aren't up-to-date with the current episodes. As for me, I shall use spoiler codes for the first three episodes. After that, I will not use the spoiler code anymore. Infinite Dendrogram is one of two VRMMO anime that have released this season. This anime and I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense are those two. I'll call this ID for short, and Shield Girl for the latter. ID has a rating of 6.17 so it's close to the 5 range. I would say that this is a responsible rating. However, I've given it a 7. I might lower it to a 6 in the future. Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Infinite Dendrogram - Discussion - Megane - Mar 7, 2020 This anime keeps getting worse and worse. For the most part, some anime are aimed at children. Some people who don't watch anime believe that all anime is for children and this is one of their reasons why they dislike anime. Well, this anime is just that. It's aimed towards young adults but it feels like the anime is meant for kids who are seven. It's very cartoonish. What I mean by that, is it feels like the shonen anime we all watched on Cartoon Network early in the morning getting ready for school. Pokemon, etc. Because there is no plot, the anime follows whatever course it thinks is best and that's just a no from me. What we've been getting is so boring. Nothing interesting. The fight between superiors was hyped up for us in the previous episode and episode eight was just a bummer. The action and fighting are atrocious. The voice acting in this anime can be bad and annoying too. I don't have much to say other than I've changed my rating from seven to five. If it keeps going this way the anime will continue to still be bad, and I know it will be. RE: Infinite Dendrogram - Discussion - Megane - Mar 12, 2020 The latest episode, episode nine, wasn't a terrible one, but it wasn't a good one either. We were able to see more out of Marie and after learning how much of a true bad*ss she is, she might be someone not to mess with. Franklin's plan continues to trouble everyone in the country of Gideon and so far everything is going as planned. The battle scene with the masters was not too interesting. It was very boring and lacked entertainment. I hope the next episode is much better than this one because I am sure Ray is going to hopefully kick some butt. Maybe we'll see a mecha vs. Ray fight. Two masters with madien embryos would be an interesting fight. RE: Infinite Dendrogram - Discussion - Demonstrate - Mar 28, 2020 Seeing Marie's development was nice, definitely expected something out of her once she had that little moment with the Bear. I'm going to keep watching as I'm a fan of these MMORPG series, but there are things here and there that I like and dislike. I was going to write a review on the lastest episode, episode 11, but all I'll say is the animation was terribly done and looked sloppy. Before, I never really looked into these type of details, but after reviewing anime episodes so much I just can't help it anymore. Personally, not a fan of this one. If you haven't already seen it, you might like, BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense., which just finished airing this past week. It's great, definitely gave me my fix after Rise of The Shield Hero ended. RE: Infinite Dendrogram - Discussion - Megane - Apr 15, 2020 Infinite Dendrogram was most likely the worst anime of the Winter 2020 season. There were a few during that season I disliked, but this was top tier trash. My final rating for this anime is a four. I felt the story was lacking at times and the plot was very boring to follow. Nothing interesting happened until the ending of the show. I felt like this anime was rushed a bit at times and the pacing for things was terrible. Also, with the COVID-19 epidemic, that ruined the show too. Of course, the producers of the anime couldn't go around this epidemic, but it also led to the demise of the show. Not only was it bad, but because of this show first delaying its episodes to then only releasing an episode once a week, a lot of information was lost. What I mean is, if you were like me watching this while airing, there was a lot of information that you have forgotten because the anime decided to release once every two weeks. For some reason, this studio was the only one to do that. Number24 recently started their production again and have been releasing weekly, there last episode being today as I write this. While A3! is completely MIA, that anime is going to be completely ruined (not that it was good anyway) from this epidemic. Anyways, the characters were boring and the special abilities they had weren't impressive. The plot armor was too strong with the OP. I don't mind plot armor because it's so common now in this type of anime, but the fact that the main character was able to do stuff with little to no effort was amazingly stupid. Additionally, I disliked the main character in general. So bland. To finish this review as I don't care too much about it, I wouldn't recommend this anime to anyone. It's a waste of time. I do think there is a possibility of a second season. I'm most likely going to give it a go. Hopefully, it can fix the mistakes the first episode had.
