I just got this and read through the Help Docs, but still don't understand how I violated the rules. I gave one comment on the marketplace thread giving a testimonial for the service. I've also done 5 or 6 purchases with the seller and gave him a good rating every contract. Can someone shed a little light on this for me? I just want to make sure I don't violate the rules again. Thanks.

The help bot alerted you that you received a warning. The bot did not issue the warning.
Try the Convo feature.

1. Did you ever ask for a vouch copy of a product on someone's thread? Begging for vouch copies with land you a marketplace violation.
2. You can not leave a vouch on a sales thread without being a verified contracted customer. You may have had a contracted with the OP and had a successful deal with them, but if you did not put the Thread ID into the contract, then when you post on that thread you will not be viewed as a verified contracted customer. Only if the Thread ID into your contract will you display the "contracted customer" badge above your post. I've highlighted what that looks like in this image: https://i.imgur.com/8IvNACV.png
If you leave a vouch on a thread and do not have that "Contracted Customer" badge, your post will be removed and you will receive a marketplace violation warning.

You can't vouch for someone if the contract doesn't contain thread ID in it which gives you that "contracted customer" tag. That's exactly what you did and got warned.
4. All vouches in threads must be related to a Contract and from a verified "Contracted Customer".
