Lrrrr taught me a lot about network hardening in regards to Tor services (although the information is relevant to any service you want to secure regardless of where it is accessible through) and we actually took the time to do it in a hands-on activity.

He's really got an attention to detail and reiterates incessantly that one mistake is all it takes to cost you very dearly. I think that without the knowledge contained within this service and e-book there's probably no reason you should ever consider running your own Tor service.
