Would this help increase internet speed? - SIM-2362662 - Mar 7, 2020 My current house network is the following: Main router (100Mbs) -> wifi extender -> wifi extender -> My PC I know having two extenders connected to one another isnt ideal, but I couldnt find another solution yet. With this setup, my PC gets a 10Mb internet speed. Would I get a bigger speed if I upgrade my internet package to 500Mb or even 900Mb? RE: Would this help increase internet speed? - webdev77 - Mar 7, 2020 Highly unlikely. If you are only getting 10Mbps at your computer, your ISP isn't the problem. If you are only getting 10Mbps at your computer, your ISP isn't the problem. The problem are the two range extenders used. They decrease the speed by a lot. But my question was, will I still get 10% of the internet if I increase the speed? (resulting in my PC getting 50-90Mbs after upgrade) RE: Would this help increase internet speed? - webdev77 - Mar 7, 2020 (Mar 7, 2020 09:05 AM)♣ SoFt ♣ Wrote: The problem are the two range extenders used. If you increase the ISP speed to 1000Mbps, your max throughput through repeaters is still 10Mbps. |
