And I will tell you why.
Because Blizzard doesn't follow the community but leads it.
Microsoft allowed the community to have it their way and let them play on HD version too.
That split the Age of Empires community in 2. So when you go on multiplayer you see just a few games. Waiting for full house takes 15-20 mins.
Blizzard on the other hand forced everyone to buy Reforged and although it seems like a scam movement, it kept the community united. That means that when you want to play online, you get a lot of available games and the full house waiting time is less than 5 minutes.
Also, Reforged gives you the option to play with classic graphics while Definitive Edition doesn't.
Warcraft is a better remaster.

Lots of people have been talking about Reforged recently. I checked it it’s somewhat active now.
