When do you think you'll "retire" from HF? - Social Engineer - Mar 27, 2020

So I've been on here almost 9 years now, and I've been inactive on a few occassions where I thought I wouldn't come back.
But there's just something about this beauty of a forum that keeps pulling me back, I don't even go to any other forum.

This place is just a gold mine, no matter what age, or what you're trying to learn, it's amazing.

Personally I think I'll be using HF on and off for as long as I know, but do you guys have an age in mind where you're like,
right - now no more forums/HF?

I don't believe i will retire anytime soon. But one thing is for sure, when Omni decides to close the community, i will have to accept it and simply move on to a different platform

I don't think there is a community out there greater than HFs, I feel if Omniscient did ever get to that point, he may decide to sell it or just have someone else overlook the whole thing as Admin. This community is too great to just put an end to like that, and Omniscient is great so he isn't allowed to leave us either :(

Omni won't let someone else run this community, as for your first statement, maybe from the active pov, yes. But there are quite few platforms that are fairly active in the BH scene. And it's a skid-free

I'm not familiar with any since I didn't find the need to look elsewhere tbh, HF has always served it's purpose for me and quite well. But I guess I'd look into a few as backup, even though I don't seeing myself being anywhere near as active as I am on HF.

Got to know about HF like 1 year ago and I got no doubt of leaving this forum, made some cash on the way and shitt tons of knowledge.

This forum is full of valuable knowledge, behind all the random crap.

I've also been on and off for the past 9 years, really fell in love with this site again now as I'm working more with computers after a while. Never planning to leave, not permanently

I will retire when the community is dead. It's a pretty nice place to chill when you're bored.

It's really a great community, Omniscient has done well with it.

One of the most legendary sites out there for sure!

I thought I had a couple of times but it turns out it was just a sabbatical.

I don't think I'll leave any time soon but who knows. I'm new.

I go through phases on Hf where I’ll go from really active to not posting for a couple months. I don’t think I’ll ever “retire”, probably just lurk in the shadows

Exactly the cycle I go through, I think most of us go through the same cycle actually.
