Success with Indeed? - StickTalk - Mar 27, 2020

Whats up guys? Its been a good while since I've posted on, or even visited HF. Reason being, was that I've recently relocated to a bigger city than where I was before, and now I'm on the job hunt. I'm currently living off of the money that I've had saved up from my previous job, and my income tax. So, I've been searching and applying everywhere that I feel that I could benefit from. But I've been told by a few people to check out indeed.com, and I was wondering if any of you guys have had any success using it? I'd like to read some reviews!

Thanks guys!šŸ˜Ž

Indeed has worked pretty well for me my last two jobs, better then glassdoor/craigslist.

The only thing I have to say is not everything on indeed.com is true. I've had interviews where it says id have a different job as presented to me in person. And always the salary is off by 20-30k a year from the ad.
The point is ask many questions! Don't be afraid

Yes, but add an Indeed CV and then go from there. A lot of businesses will waste your time, skip right through your application or whatever, it's long but it works.

I’ve been applying for sales positions. I’m not too sure about them because of my criminal record. But we shall see.

My opinion is from the employers perspective. I tried using indeed and a couple other sites like it when I was hiring a part time salesman, most applicants were time wasters, or knew nothing about the position I was hiring for.

Only apply for jobs you’re actually qualified for on there don’t be like the people that ā€œappliedā€ for my position. Waste of your time and the employers.

(Not saying that you would do this, the thought of using indeed just slightly struck a nerve for me)

What type of business are you trying to be a salesman in?

I have known other people having great success from it however, I haven't used it.
