Officers Disperse Birthday Party Crowd Amid COVID-19 Pandemic - SIM-3257834 - Mar 29, 2020 People need to learn that now's not the time to have Bday parties. My sister and grandma just recently had their birthday and we celebrated just with our nuclear family. Also in case someone is clueless what nuclear family here's what it is https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/nuclear-family-history-origin Sister said that her bday sucked but at least she got an S20. Meanwhile, I'm over here rocking an s10. It would be a perfect life lesson for the kids considering most are spoiled brats. RE: Officers Disperse Birthday Party Crowd Amid COVID-19 Pandemic - Net - Mar 30, 2020 State issues a ''stay at home'' order. People from the ghetto: AYO LETS CELEBRATE. Simple task but most people taking hard to obey...it's for their safety to prevent and contain the spread of the virus. RE: Officers Disperse Birthday Party Crowd Amid COVID-19 Pandemic - Herbert - Mar 30, 2020 Now I understand why it's spreading so fast in the US. RE: Officers Disperse Birthday Party Crowd Amid COVID-19 Pandemic - Xerotic - Mar 30, 2020 I tend to disagree with the use of government force to enact "stay at home" policies. I think it is a step down the wrong path. I think Americans should have the freedoms afforded to them by the Bill of Rights. I think when the government tries to restrict these freedoms in times of crisis (recent attacks on due process, gun rights, public gathering, and protest) that the government is going way beyond their scope of power. I think that the citizens should be appalled the government would threaten their freedoms in such a way. That being said, I think it is the personal and social responsibility for citizens to practice "stay at home" and social distancing during a pandemic. I just don't think the government should forcibly restrict freedoms. That's the beauty of America. It isn't designed to be perfect or for everyone to conform. It's designed for cases like these to happen, for people to do dumb things. For people to make choices. For people to have freedom. And I'd rather that than the other thing. However if nothing is done then this virus will never be contained. Life as we know it would be gone. Just my opinion. |
