Adjusting to online classes - X-32 - Apr 7, 2020 How are you all adjusting to online classes? I've been finding it a little harder to learn my subjects, and given I'm a STEM major taking extremely hard classes this isn't doing me well. I'm in the process of coming up with a new strategy to discipline myself and retain the information better. How about you all? What advice would you give to others now taking all of their courses online? RE: Adjusting to online classes - 1GGov2wivb1Pb6pyS7hmkDXYE - Apr 7, 2020 I liked in-school more than online tbh. It helps me learn better with a teacher and classroom rather than a computer screen. Don't get me wrong computer resaerch is great but a course is different. RE: Adjusting to online classes - Aedan_ - Apr 8, 2020 I thought I'd prefer online schooling, however without school I basically have no restrictions and guidelines on my schedules so at the moment I'm cramming in all the assignments I haven't done the past 3 weeks and doing them all before Friday at 3 when assignments are due. RE: Adjusting to online classes - jfm-8 - Apr 8, 2020 Going to school is much more fun than online classes. Human real life interactions is beautiful and i have learned that during this quarntine RE: Adjusting to online classes - GG123 - Apr 9, 2020 (Apr 8, 2020 11:36 PM)jfm-8 Wrote: Going to school is much more fun than online classes. agreed. nothing beats human interaction RE: Adjusting to online classes - iCSGO - Apr 9, 2020 Back when I was a uni student I actually found watching lecture recordings to be easier rather than being in lectures in person. Was really nice being able to pause it and gather my thoughts or put down notes without being rushed. RE: Adjusting to online classes - SIM-4663557 - Apr 9, 2020 I overestimated how much I liked online classes. Idk about you, but over here we're having livestreams which literally remove all of the upsides of online learning (the pause button lol). Also missing a bunch of my classmates. As for advice, I'd tell you to make the most of the sessions by recording them so that you can later watch them. That's what I'm doing. RE: Adjusting to online classes - Chameleon - Apr 11, 2020 What is it like though just doing all that from home, is it better? i swear if i could do my job at home i would never get any work done haha RE: Adjusting to online classes - Nyx - Apr 12, 2020 My professors basically said that there is no need to come to our zoom meetings. Sure you can, but they are all recorded for those who do not attend. They are assigning the work, tests, quizzes online now. RE: Adjusting to online classes - The Broker - Apr 12, 2020 I like the laziness of the people nowadays. Just stop watching YouTube and browsing HF if you want to succeed with your studies. You don't need to adjust to nothing, just start actually study and learn instead of pretending. RE: Adjusting to online classes - X-32 - Apr 12, 2020 I find it pretty interesting that most of you say you'd prefer (or at-least be more successful in) in-person classes, which ironic given we're all computer nerds. RE: Adjusting to online classes - Rolex Gold - Apr 13, 2020 Online classes are definitely easier to manage, especially for people with anxiety. You can now take your tests in the comfort of your own home and with countless resources at your disposal. RE: Adjusting to online classes - Proceed - Apr 13, 2020 I was personally always a fan of online classes, but I was also at a university while I was taking online classes. Being home and having online classes is such a pain. No library to study, and studying in general while I am home never really works for me. Best of luck man, keep grinding. |
