Windows 7 x Windows 10 - Remote Desktop & Hidden Remote Desktop - aerohacker - Apr 24, 2020

There some diferences in term of speed to use/control a RAT using Windows 7 or Windows 10, and use features like Remote Desktop and HRDP?

- Windows 7 -> DirectX 10
- Windows 10 -> DirectX 12

If there's any difference in terms of speed/quality/performance to use/test RATs features like Remote Desktop and HRDP between Windows 7 and Windows 10, if DirectX can improve something?

I ask this because I remember that the creator of Imminent Monitor once said that he used a specific DX12 algorithm for Remote Desktop and that was why it was so fast.

HRDP and RAT Desktop Capture are two different things. The speed of the remote desktop capture will depend on both, client's upload speed and capture method used by the RAT.

Hidden RDP is basically Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol, which is great even on low bandwidth scenarios, but still, high latency hurts connection quality.

Which are the best free and paid RATs to use HRDP nowadays?

I have no idea, since I deploy HRDP manually to my clients. You can have this benefit with any RAT, really.
