Fighting back to script kiddies - HxrryOfficial - May 5, 2020
Before I start I am COMPLETELY NEW to hacking. I don't know where to start to learn.
Okay basically, I play Minecraft. Yeah sounds geeky but the community to extremely toxic. They always Ddos me. How do I fight back? Where do I start to learn?

Use a VPN, fighting back really isn't an option as one has to consider the reality of their current situation.

Best advice on this thread. Use a VPN if you'd like to play uninterupted. However, I'm more concerned by the fact that after the attacks your ISP hasn't changed your IP Address. I'm worried by the fact that they're getting your IP constantly for some reason, try being proactive. Watch out for any ip loggers, avoid giving out your real IP Address via any connection etc..

Secure your server with proper firewall rules, or rent a server from someone that sells ddos protected servers.

are they ddosing you? OR are they ddosing your server? If they're ddosing you, then as others have said, you should get a VPN and be careful about clicking any links they send you as those can be IPgrabbers. And also, if you're joining small servers its possible that the people with admin access to the server console are just looking up your ip in the logs so a VPN would fix that, as would just trying not to piss off the mods and not join any sketchy servers. If they're ddosing your server, just get a server with ddos protection.
The way you fight back, is to either look at your router logs (if its you getting ddossed) or look at your server's logs (if its your server getting ddosed)
A little bit of googling "ddos logfile analysis" should tell you enough to pick out the suspicious IPs. Once you have the IP its coming from you'd have to determine if they're ddosing you from their own computer or from a distributed network of bots/shells. If its the second, option you'd have hack one of those to get the CNC server and then you'd have to hack into the CNC server. If they're just ddosing you from their home computer then you can just ddos them right back and blacklist their ip on all of your inbound connections.
EDIT: and just to be clear, i don't condone you doing anything illegal. that'd be on you.
