Ability to host Lotteries for purchasable awards - flavoral - May 5, 2020

A suggestion based on the new Announcement: Official Award Lotteries by Xerotic

I'm not sure to what degree is this possible buy:

The ability to host a lottery for Purchasable Awards using an automated system which require the host to pay for the award upfront and then the award get locked in the lottery to be automatically given to the winner.

Example: User hosts a Emerald Diamond, he start a lottery for the award, he get redirected to payment page to pay the $20 BTC for the award, once payment is confirmed, the award get locked and the lottery goes live. After X days, winner gets automatically drawn and [mention=3583467] gives the winner the award.

Pros: Avoid fake contests and fake contest winners
Cons: ???

If only users who do not have the award can enter, I don't see a problem.

I don't think users should be able to join if they already have the award though.

why? they're paying to enter just like everyone else if it was free id agree with this and just like yourself you've got multiple buyable awards.

I think this is a great idea OP i support.

Some sort of raffle?
Because this is somewhat in-between a contest and a lottery.
But great suggestion, I like it.

Pretty sure he is saying same as normal lotteries, you enter one with an award but enter it with bytes and the host gets the bytes.
