Analog Cypher Machine Decryption - cypherwolf - May 18, 2020 Hey friends, I've invented a little toy cypher machine and I'd like to know how easy or complicated it is to decipher a given text. Do you want to help me? Here's the cypher text: ISWHX_CVQC,V?LC,?LDNBBUHILCQ_FTC.TPTVZTK,NNTSTLWGCCTWZC,VTDCOVOLAL.WJJWIJQ_QJHDSLCDTOATJDSCTWHX_CDIWYCDI?,VWGCLCLEAOYWJJWIJQAOVE_FCLYS It's in English language. In theory I think you could compare to an English lexicon until you find letter combinations which make sense. Is there any more information you'd need to solve this? A hint: I'm using a set of 5 cypher weels, so it's always a group of 5 letters. And the next group will have the same encryption. For example: A=Z B=M C=, and so on. For each of the 5 wheels the encryption stays the same. (Not like the Enigma, where the code changes all the time). Thanks!
