2010 Imac reset - Casillas - May 21, 2020 Hi I just bought a cheap imac from 2010, 27 inch 1 TB model and it boots right up the only problem is the owner is still logged in and I have contacted the owner and he has not responded for the password. I am looking to reset It completely is there a way to do this? He has his iCloud logged in and cannot get pass the login screen. I will compensate for immediate help. RE: 2010 Imac reset - Rathe - May 29, 2020 I believe there's a way to do it by accessing single-user mode by holding command-S on startup. I know I've done this before in the past with older macs, not sure exactly how you'd do it now depending on what version of MacOS it's on. But look up 'how to reset mac single user mode' on YT there's tons of tutorials RE: 2010 Imac reset - Casillas - May 29, 2020 I was able to reset it, I simply wiped the hard drive. Thanks |
