Botnet control panel - TheBrokenWasp - May 24, 2020

Hello HF

I am working on a little HTTP botnet project for experience, I'm making it in C and it can so far do basic communication, and I have made it in a way so that it creates a new socket every time it communicates so that it would be harder to track (Even though it probably makes no difference unless you have the latency set to every 30 seconds, which would make the bots very hard to control I think). It's only meant to help me learn some more C, and it isn't meant to be undetected or good or anything, but I want it to be functional so that I can call it a finished project.

This brings me to the problem: I can't make a panel. Not even a simple one, because I hate web dev too much to try. So I was wondering if anybody would like to join me on the project and take care of the server-side section of the project. As I said before, it's a project for fun and experience and I don't plan on making any money from it or even using it personally, but I would like to finish it as a project. When it is finished, I might release the source here for others to learn from or something, but right now it's sitting in my project folder untouched because I can't really think of what to do next without a server.

If you are interested in working on it with me, then feel free to DM me. Thanks for reading.

I will not DM you nor work privately with you, but I will offer you my web dev skills for free if you open up a github and share it on your main post so everyone can use whatever you're trying to build and what I'll build for you so everyone can have a botnet made up in C.
Probably we can try to setup just a loader and maybe we can even try to add a rootkit there's a couple available at github lets make this opensource bro, what about giving script kidies some real weapons huh

I will consider it, but as of right now I'm not sure what I want to do with the project once it is complete, and I doubt this will be the quality anybody would want to use in a real scenario. If I feel like giving it out once it is complete, then I will, but so far I'm leaning towards making it a throwaway project for anybody involved & my friends to have access to, and it's up to them what they want to do with it. But honestly, I've had people claim my code as their own before and I also don't really want to post stuff on my github, so I really don't think I'll post it there unless I'm 100% done with it (in every sense)

To be honest anyone who does not know how to code would probably use this even if it does not have DGA or something else that actually make it real-scenario code like you said.

Anyway I can refer you to this beauty

https://github.com/UBoat-Botnet/UBoat-Panel
https://github.com/UBoat-Botnet/UBoat

Probably this will help you in your journey, it's in C++ but it has the panel 🤭

You can also lookup for Zeus or Mirai source I think both are built with C/C++ and I'm guessing this but their panel is also in php?

If you let me, I'd highly advice you to just watch some Django/Flask tutorial and you'll setup everything just fine

Thank you, but I already knew about these
the goal is to have a project of my own, not something based on someone else's work. I already have a "basic" server, it's just an "instructions" page for the bot to read off of, which I can change through editing a text file. So yeah, it isn't very good, but I am not going to base my work off of someone else's, and especially not copy.

I see well then I wish you best of luck sounds like your project is just going to be on your network so lets keep it right there

what do you mean? I was never planning on using this as an actual botnet, I just want to make it for fun.

By all means I wanted to be on the wild that's why I wanted to cooperate and make it opensource, I just want to make it for fun 😈
