I have tried bruteforcing using a few wordlists but I takes way to damn long and I just don't have the time. I got the file like a month ago and Forgot where I got it from, It was already named CIA

oh and I actually don't know what is supposed to be in it. I think it might be a self extracting file as it asks for the password without showing the contents. So please open at your own risk if you find the password. I would like to take a chance, so again if you do find the password, I would be grateful If it was provided to me. Thanks, Kielec

I'm not downloading it but a good way to find rar passwords is google the actual name of the file.

I've used some tools for finding a RAR password before, but I can't remember any name now. Allow me some time and I'll get back with a tool for it, however they usually require a set of details about the password like the possible length, whether or not it uses capital letters or symbols, etc. I've been able to use it because I have done so for rar files I compressed myself and years later I can't remember the password but kind of know the aproximate length of it.
Edit: Nvm, I opened the link and saw that it wasn't the rar password you were talkin about but the decryption key on MEGA.

No I'm talking about the RAR file password. I uploaded the rar file to MEGA for people to crack into the file, because I'm not sure what the password is

Grab the hash of the RAR file and perform a search using the Double Quotes google dork.
Like someone else in the thread said, thatll be your best course of action.
