"Shopping Deals" question - Angela White - May 29, 2020
Would I be allowed to post coupon codes for a product I own that's on sale in the shopping deals section?
Basically I have 3 products, doing a 40% off deal on all of them (like a bundle for 40% off), but it's only going to be valid for 1 week. I was wondering if I just created a post in the "Shopping Deals" section and said something like "40% off of all KasprDev products, coupon code is xxxxxxx, if you are purchasing, start a contract with me first", or would something like this go in the premium sellers section?
I wanted to avoid the clutter of the premium sellers section and have my shopping deal just in the shopping deals section, I'm just not sure how that'd work if I actually own the product that the deal is on. I'm fine with not posting there if need be.

Is the product you're referring to something that you already sell on HF?

Yes, which makes me feel like it belongs in the marketplace, but I just want to make sure. I feel like more users would see it if I posted it in the shopping deals section.
Deal would only be lasting 7 days so after 7 days the thread will be closed.

Then couldn't you just include the coupons in your sales thread, say at the top so it's easily seen?

1. Do not post topics where you are a seller.

The purpose of that section is to post when you see a good deal online or offline, for example some item is heavily discounted on amazon or there's some free games (like Civilization 6 from Epic games) given away, discounted or whatever or McDonalds is giving many food coupons, etc. Section was never meant to be for self-promotion.
