Factory reset - Samsung Tab 4 - Trimble Trouble - wedge - Jun 8, 2020

Gday all,

I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction, I found an old ex-business Samsung Tab 4 SM-T330 on ebay for $50. Its in good condition, needed a new battery which was easy enough to replace. The device has been locked down with some software created by a company called Trimble. This software has done a wonderful job of locking the device down. It boots straight into their UI which requires a logon. This was all explained on ebay so no surprises, figured it would be a good challenge and a handy ebook reader if I could actually get it to work.

So I have tried a Wipe data/factory reset with a result of - mdm does not allow factory reset.

I have tried to install factory Rom with ODIN3 (PDA single file only) - appears to work but upon reboot, boots up the Trimble software again. I have not tried a Re-Partition but will look more into that as thought that maybe the case.

I have tried plugging in an OTG cable usb whilst on the Trimble UI screen with the intention of loading an APK on it that is suppose to bypass or re-write something.. not sure to be honest but alas the USB access has been disabled by Trimble.

So they are my options so far exhausted. I shall carry to researching options but hoped someone on here might know of something else I Have not tried or could point in direction of more options.
UPDATE - Got it to work! Found a version of firmware that wasnt just a single file. It had multiple files that I could load into Odin and flashed with that and it worked!
Also used SamFirm to download the firmware rather than random websites. Updated Odin to V3.14.
Solid day of messing around but happy happy :)
