Why I joined HackForums? I can't believe I'll of been here 10 years in the next couple weeks. But if I remember correctly, I was originally browsing for a forum that taught hacking because it fascinated it. I wound up reading up on SQL injection/defacing sites and just was immediately hooked.
My experience here is that this community of individuals is certainly unique in their own ways. You can easily make yourself out to be a joke and/or incompetent with just a few moves, so you got to be careful.

Why I joined HF is simply because I want to learn something about hacking and looks some different ideas and methods about internet marketing as well :D
My experience here is totally awesome...I found some great people and I am enjoying my stay day by day. There's a lot of perks you will get to enjoy the forum.

I joined up to look to learn as much as I could from the knowledgeable ones here. However, I got too preoccupied with studies and work and so I couldnt get much active here. I was more like a silent observer, just keeping my mouth shut and checking in from time to time.
I have had minimal experience here coz of the above reasons, however, I think this is an awesome place. Apart from the exit scammers and shitty ebook sellers and skiddies, the rest are quite chill and nice people.

I have +1 Popped you. I joined HF to learn new things including programming. As for my experience, I met many kinds of people. Some friends, many scammers. I have not been scammed personally.
Also, I have seen many unnecessary bans with no reasons given in this forum which makes me not want to spend too much time/money on it. Someday, all that I have put into it may just vanish due to a ban for no reason. Happened to a group of people I know. I see the potential for this forum but if the childish attitude is constantly displayed from the top, it'll just be a ripple effect affecting the rest of the forum.
You can already see that it is no longer as active as it was 2 months back. Enough of ranting about my 2 months of experience here.

I remember me searching for a forum to learn hacking, like any edgy person would do in his early teens. HackForums came up first on my good search for a hack forum, obviously. Never actually learned how to hack, but I learned other things and met great people. I made my first money here and I still make my beer money here!
