Just back to HF recently, I would like to start the Help Desk once again.
By the way, during this period, I had also achieved my OSCP and CISA certification.

how long does it take to learn white hat and get certs needed and if you are lucky to actually get a job in this industry?

It really depend on your current knowledges.
As a cyber security expert, there are also many pathways,
Such as systems, web, network etc.
For example, if you are a web developer right now, wanted to achieve working as a web security guy / pentester ,
it won't take long if you try hard.
