PSA - CypherIT Exit Scam (Fake FBI Seized Site Notice) - Demoralise - Jun 19, 2020 As you can see if you go to the site it is apparently seized: http://cypherit.org - Yet it redirects to a JPEG image (bizarre, the FBI would not need to use a JPEG image. They would set the seized size notice as part of the main page design.) - The image doesn't even fit the entire screen. Not to mention the developer is French and there is no mention of the French police - which would be required under legal jurisdiction. It would be highly unusual for an international authority to shut down the site - The notice states that it is for the "District of Oregon" - wtf does Oregon have to do with CypherIT? Nothing. If this site was truly seized by the FBI it would not mention the district of Oregon - The rest of the website appears to be operating normally which is not what you would expect from a site that is shut down I am almost 100% certain that this is an exit scam RE: PSA - CypherIT Exit Scam (Fake FBI Seized Site Notice) - Lord - Jun 19, 2020 Not 100% sure here but I think when the FBI seizes a website they redirect the domain. This domain is still pointing to cloudflare. RE: PSA - CypherIT Exit Scam (Fake FBI Seized Site Notice) - VisualSoft - Jun 20, 2020 Yap, you guys are correct. Its looks Fake. RE: PSA - CypherIT Exit Scam (Fake FBI Seized Site Notice) - doomkit - Jun 24, 2020 Well if you rename seized.jpg with anything Example http://cypherit.org/login You can still see they costume 404 page. |
