A Ponzi scheme is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors. The scheme leads victims to believe that profits are coming from product sales or other means, and they remain unaware that other investors are the source of funds.

So imagine getting paid $75 for investing $50 and then being offered more if you bring in other members.
Simply put, there is no product/service but just the investments from the new users that are being paid to you.
The owner of such HYIP/Ponzi site will run it for a short period of time before he takes with him all of the money.

Exactly they scam innocent people like i got scammed some days ago. I scammed 1000$ BTC. :(
