PTSD from a childhood experience? - Goods - Jun 25, 2020 I had an allergic reaction to a chemical in the pool. Ever since, I’ve always wondered when it’s going to happen again. I went into full anaphylactic shock, airways closed up, and was one foot out the door. You guys have ptsd from anything that happened to you as a kid? RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - Method - Jun 26, 2020 not really huge ptsd but i got lost in a giant maze once for ages when i was really really young and when i was growing up i'd start panicking if i ever got slightly lost somewhere like, literally the slightest moments. Doesn't happen anymore obviously but that kinda sucked for a while. RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - Wolf - Jun 26, 2020 Bad experiences which happen in childhood, if not treated properly, will give a lot of difficulties to the human as it grows up. Childhood period is our initial introduction to the world, which consists of other humans. Being different, will make other humans expand the difference and further alienate the outcast. I've spoke to lot of people who suffer from PTSD and other disorders. Both at 7cups platform and in real life. Personally, I do have one consequence which I am having trouble with. It's anger, in communication with other humans. I'm fine completely suppressing it, or completely giving in to it. I am having so much trouble balancing it. RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - Protomario - Jun 26, 2020 got hit by a ice cream truck pretty hard when i was 11 so now every time i hear the ice cream trucks song , a specific one , i have a panic attack RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - Filthy Frank - Jun 26, 2020 I've had a few traumatic experiences in my childhood, I wouldn't say I have (actual) PTSD tho. RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - .TEN - Jun 26, 2020 I freak out when I see a wasp, I got stung when I was younger and it caused an allergic reaction. My forehead completely was completely swollen up. The doctor said to me that if I get stung again it'll either have no effect or it'll be 10 times worse. I have to carry an epipen just incase. RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - MarvinMalware - Jun 26, 2020 Quite a few things related to drugs and family have left a permanent impact on my mental health. I was diagnosed with PTSD at 16 and medicated for sleep/panic attacks. However I find I can make my own peace without therapy/medication at this point in my life. RE: PTSD from a childhood experience? - rsx - Jun 26, 2020 For sure could be PTSD resulting from that particular traumatic experience. Best to consult your psychiatrist if you want to get help with it. Im allergic to all wasps and bees, unfortunately. Have to carry an eppipen in my car at all times. Thank you I appreciate that, I’ve had my struggles but so does everyone I try and remind myself I’m not alone in that. We all have to find our own ways of finding self peace. Absolutely as long as you keep an open mind and try different things, anyone can achieve it. It took me years to find a way to keep my thoughts under my control. |
