installing unreal irc on vps (NEED HELP) - iSmokeIDatGas - Jun 30, 2020
I have been trying to use this thread https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3136174
i found to install unreal etc to my vps but I cant past the first step, it says its doesnt recognize my commands... Please can someone help me?

Why in the heck would you want to use irc in todays world ???? Everything sent to irc is in clear text format which means there is protection from your channel or server being exploited.

that tutorial is 8 years old so i would imagine the commands have been changed.
unrealircd is trash, use inspircd

As said above, so much more secure. Also unrealircd will force you to not run as root which depending on how lazy you are (and what you're tryna do) is annoying.
When I want to test something it would take ages with unreal unless i find a mirror of the old af one.
I believe the version of unrealircd you're looking for (if you are that dedicated to using it), is 3.2.10.
Also you can use unrealircd configs from pastebin. If i can somehow find my old one from 2014 you can have it.

Yes i already thought that and tried to google the new versions commands with no success! Okay can you link me to it please and explain the install?
