Just played a game for the first time in 5 years - Canada Goose - Jul 10, 2020
The following events occurred: Joins Lobby
*Here shouting for a brief second but stops, literally half a second or so
*Game starts, I hear "f*ck your mother"
Me be like: Don't tell me...
*Game continues, halfway before it turns into a shouting match
Me be like: *Slowly takes off headset*, well that was a waste of money.
Now I remembered why I stopped playing, you can't mute them all and it's a huge distraction when playing.
People need to relax, it's crazy....

Yup, that's pretty much how it goes when playing games online. Although your experience reminds me so much of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 lobby. Lol. I rarely play games online anymore because of how bad it's gotten. I'll just stick to my Cribbage app.

Yeah, that's why I usually stick to single player games. The toxic environment in most multiplayer games annoy the shit out of me, so I'll just stay away from them. There's no way you can talk sense into an underaged internet warrior that hates the world, lol.

Yha whale unfortunately games nowadays are HORRIBLE communities, in most of them atleast.
Its really saddning to see what the community has become.
Also, use your eggs before they die ! they are already rotten :(

It’s a part of online gaming tbh. I either mute beforehand or see if people are able to communicate properly (CS:GO and LoL chat).

I remember when I was younger I could stand all the toxicity in online games, whether it was league,cod or csgo. But now that I have other things in my mind, I realized that you can't really chill by playing that kind of games, atleast not if you play solo. The only way is playing with your friends, but 90% of them just don't play anymore.

Depends on what game you played tho.
I've stopped playing CoD years ago because they actually all were the same and sucked after MW2 (exception for Black ops 2, since that had a competitive mode).
Nowadays I only play with friends and don't use comms besides with them, that is so much nicer.
Also, if you hate voicechat, I'd recommend the FPS/RPG-like game named Escape From Tarkov :)
It has no comms and is very rewarding to play, I must admit it's a bit hard to get into especially if you have to learn everything yourself.
