Pokerstars has always been a great choice for me, otherwise any trusted betting site from your country is okay. Avoid offshore sites with a license in some 3rld world country.

Usually there are tournaments with even 3/5$ buy-ins.

There are some poker websites you can use that don't require VPNs, the one's I used to use shut down but there are plenty out there.
Try to use one of the more popular ones, like others have posted pokerstars is well received.

Great site that most people don't know about is 7XL.
I used to play there a lot.
Have tons of players and they accept Bitcoin as a payment method. Most of their players from countries like China and Israel Ukraine.
Always tons of tournaments and big activity. They never asked me for documents when I played and I never any issue withdraw funds.
Many rooms with $100-200 buy in and even 1000$ buy in so never bored there.
You don't need VPN by the way.

I use Bovada to play poker and sport bet highly recommend them. No need for a VPN, I'm from the states and Im able to play on it.
They run tournaments all the time. They are trusted as well I've been paid out over 50k from them. They do put you through the hoops and require ID verification and such.

I am not aware anymore bro...I used to get some Billions of chips before but now I am not playing anymore so I am not aware if there some still sellers and buyers of chips anymore :D
