How to set Kali linux for Hacking - vancrow16 - Jul 21, 2020
Hi all, May i ask what are the required hardwares and applications to set up kali linux for hacking wifi? I'm planning to build a computer just for learning how to hack but I'm don't know where to start. Could I get a low budget computer for this? Thank you all.

Hey welcome to HF :)
You can really hack wifi on anything, my setup for pentesting my own wifi is my laptop (XPS 13) with a AWUSO36NH adapter.
I start Kali in a virtual machine as a live cd and use wifite2 most of the time. Then later if I can't break the handshake I will send it to my server for cracking with hashcat. The only requirement to start wifi hacking hardware wise is a wifi adapter that can be put into monitor mode in order to capture handshakes. The issue is that tougher hashes may require more processing power to crack.
