Detection and Mitigation of Mirai Botnet on IoT devices. - schiz0id - Jul 28, 2020

Hi guys. I'm working on a research proposal "Detection and Mitigation of MIrai botnet on IoT devices". Can anyone review my objectives and research question here...

Objectives:
- to secure iot devices from mirai botnet,
- to monitor network traffic to avoid mirai ddos attack,
- to provide security measures to oragnization of mirai botnet, or ddos attack,

Research Questions:
-how do iot devices communicate over the network?
-what is mirai botnet and does it work/created?
-what are the iot devices vulnerabilities?
-how does block chain monitor network and secure iot devices.

Google Mirai source code on GitHub. It's the one written in golang, it has all your answers

Looks like some good questions. As said above, check out the source on github to get a better understanding of how it works.
If you want to make some work for yourself another questions could be "the future of Mirai". Because there are a lot of variants out there since the code leak and they pretty all use the same infrastructure.
