Weird Bitcoin Block - OliverSc - Aug 11, 2020 https://www.blockchain.com/btc/blocks?page=1 I can't really understand, what happened here? Why 0 transactions? SUPER weird or there is an explaination? https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block/00000000000000000005510824a311476613d96ba60e3b345e6fcbfc4db36089 Edit: Actually as I see there are more blocks like this, https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block/00000000000000000000bcaab7634fa219c9995168233f2069e221e752f8e6cb https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block/00000000000000000000d94d22a7a867986aa6f7b6e36c6c3fdcac18b1ecc8b1 Can someone explain? RE: Weird Bitcoin Block - CryptoBot - Aug 11, 2020 They're block rewards I am pretty sure :) RE: Weird Bitcoin Block - OliverSc - Aug 11, 2020 (Aug 11, 2020 12:53 PM)M249 Wrote: They're block rewards I am pretty sure :) Wdym? every block has a reward (Aug 11, 2020 03:05 PM)Focus Broken Wrote: Yes. The unknown miner of block 643232 did not include any transactions likely because they had not finished verifying block 632231, which was mined only 20 seconds before. You can mine on top of an existing block using only the block header, so miners will still profit mostly from their hashes generated during the short time it takes for the previous block to propagate and get validated, even if they don't profit optimally by being able to include transactions for fees. yeah that's what I was thinkin but it's still kinda weird. Thanks for explaination bruh |
