[New used phone] Iphone is disabled? Connect to itunes - Check The Name - Sep 13, 2020
How do i reset this old phone I was given if it use to belong to someone else and won't allow me to sign in?
I've already tried turning off phone / home button, also tried going to icloud to try & fix it. How do i fix this?

If it's iCloud locked just get rid of it because it's not worth it. If you ever were to figure out the iCloud bypass, it costs more than the phone is worth in most cases.

How much do you think this will go for on ebay if I need to sell it? Its an iphone 5s. Looks like a nice phone i never got to use it lol. Ofc I'd go over the details in the description if its worth selling.

You should be able to follow the official instructions from Apple to remove the current account and then set it up as a new phone with your own Apple ID.

If you can't do that, it's pretty much a paperweight at this point. A refurb working iPhone 5S is $49 shipped on ebay. Stolen iphone 5s aren't even selling it looks like. Best offer I've seen on there doesn't even cover shipping costs.

If that's the case, Apple will in fact help you out if you have a death certificate and something stating the phone is being given to you. All the data will get wiped, but at least you would have the phone. IIRC, you also need two forms of ID to take with you to the Apple store.

Oh very nice to know, thank you! i will try that option last. I also saw something in the youtube comment section about a couple of people that can supposably fix this. I'd have to do my own research ofc to see if they're legit but i think i'm better off with your two options. I don't have something stating that the phone is being given to me but i can get a death certificate. Should be common sense it's now mine if a family member died but I'll save time by calling first.
