C# server / Python client - indetectable - Sep 17, 2020 Hi, following my previous post: Sockets ... I'm still trying to create a client / server program so that my server is c # and my client is python (I followed the official microsoft doc) And so I have trouble with communication, I would like to just receive a string sent by the client (and reverse afterwards). So here is the server code: (with an error) https://pastebin.com/qNRU8Hrm In the server code, there is an error: CS1503 Argument 1: cannot convert 'byte []' to 'byte *' and if I add [] it shows me another error: Error CS1503 Argument 1: Unable to convert "byte" to "byte *" WTF !!! and the client code (all is well [normally]) https://pastebin.com/QPz0eWhT Help me please, I am obsessed with this! RE: C# server / Python client - Dexie - Sep 18, 2020 I'd recommend doing it the other way around. Creating the server in Python is much more efficient than C# and then while you're at it swap out the C# client for C or C++. Even if you aren't the best in those languages C and C++ are much more beneficial to learn than C# imo RE: C# server / Python client - indetectable - Sep 18, 2020 I know but the problem is that I can't do this in C ++ at the moment, and I have already done the whole GUI in C # (actually I would really like to have a GUI seen that I don't understand how we can select a client when there is no interface) and in python it's a hassle to make interfaces ... But ok, I will start by training with this configuration (the client in C # on the other hand) Thank you |
