After a long effort and dedication.... - Helper - Sep 27, 2020 I have finally lowered my Utility bill to $4.70 through hard work. Here's a photograph - will edit later with all the ways I succeeded ![]() My thermostat broke 4 or so times, that's why you see the huge bills and they took a very long time to fix it. Edit 1) Never used my Fan. If it was hot I'd take a cold bath. If I was cold, I'd take a hot bath. Thermostat stayed off once it was repaired. 2) Used my flashlight on my phone if wanting more light - learned about breakers/fuse box, turned those off. 3) If I visit a friend's I put my phone on the charger in their car/house. 4) I unplug my laptop when charged it placing it on power saver, full performance when plugged in. 5) Rarely use my stovetop, desktop or microwave 6) Stopped using refrigerator. Most of the food I eat/ate purchased cooked from the grocery store. 7) If wanting Entertainment/TV, used laptop not television. 8)Lights are off when not in use. RE: After a long effort and dedication.... - Helper - Sep 27, 2020 I don't need advice on electric/saving money from people who make good salaries and don't need to save, thanks. I only go to the dollar store for items, not foods. I have saved enough to live comfortably. "You could save even more" isn't really the hope here. 60 kilowatts about, or less than 5 kw per day. |
