In single player games ping does not matter at all as you play completely offline. But the online mode is another story.
I heard some people told that Ping is only dependent on how good of the players are and the ping of the players you are playing.
is it true?

Yeah ping matter because if your ping is high you can not do well in fight you will not able to do proper moment and best ping for ware zone is 40ms. 40ms is good for all game it is most stable ping

Yes, I often become slower than I should and that's probably why I didn't do well in Warzone.

A good ping in Warzone is around 60or lower. Warzone has pretty good spreads of servers and a lower ping is much easier to achieve. A ping under 100 is still going to be pretty viable, but under 50 is perfect for more competitive play
