Nmap Scan - moel2020 - Oct 4, 2020 Hi all, I'm confused about the result of Nmap scan that shows many ports even they are not open or configured on my router, Example of ports : 593/tcp filtered http-rpc-epmap 1068/tcp filtered instl_bootc 4444/tcp filtered krb524 5800/tcp filtered vnc-http 5900/tcp filtered vnc any idea why this happen ? Thank you RE: Nmap Scan - Sender - Oct 4, 2020 Check this POST RE: Nmap Scan - moel2020 - Oct 4, 2020 it's not the same Issue I think , in your post all the ports are shown filtered , in my case i don't have a firewall and also not all ports filtered I didn't post the port that are open , RE: Nmap Scan - hdawg12 - Sep 10, 2022 did you ever find out what happened? RE: Nmap Scan - DramaKing - Sep 12, 2022 If it's a consumer router, the router will likely have additional ports opened that are not forwarded. Even an enterprise router will likely have some ports opened by default for essential features, but you could see the firewall rules. If VNC and Metasploit are running on the router, they would be listening on those ports, and if there truly is no firewall (or even if there is), those ports would be open. RE: Nmap Scan - YellowBull - Sep 12, 2022 moel2020, the response by "Sender" has helpful information. will you please provide your nmap syntax, too ? |
