OllyDbg VS Spotify - HardStoN - Oct 13, 2020 Hi there, i've used spotify for a long time now and the ads are really annoys me - So what i was thinking is lets reverse it using OllyDbg and maybe i can find something that would deal with that although everytime i open spotify in OllyDbg, ollydbg just freezes when analyzing spotify at start-up. Somebody knows why? Or can suggest another idea? RE: OllyDbg VS Spotify - Kreuz - Oct 27, 2020 tried with x64dbg seem working fine RE: OllyDbg VS Spotify - Sajuuk - Dec 6, 2020 If it's a 64-bit master, you need a 64-bit debugger. By default, Olly is 32-bit only. From what I recall, Ollydbg64 is still in beta stages, but last time I checked was over a year ago. You could try either Olly64 or IDA. (I think it supports both 32 and 64-bit debugging). An easier way to bypass ads is to trace and block the server IP wherever they're hosted. In the case it's a direct connection to Spotify through the stream, you may be out of luck. Breaking the ad player, its timer, and/or the connection data from a Spotify server would likely end the stream all together (including whatever is being streamed at the time). You'd need to reset the stream to establish a new connection, (somewhat) defeating the purpose of blocking the ad. RE: OllyDbg VS Spotify - Vector Dynamics - Apr 25, 2021 Ollydbg isn't really maintained anymore and is a bit old-school. I recommend moving onto x64dbg, it is really a great tool. |
