Best Keyboard / Mouse Trainers for FPS - Mаtt - Oct 23, 2020

So I've just started to attempt my transition to Keyboard and Mouse for computer based FPS games. I do realize that it's harder than it looks and I've started to look into some training materials to get used to it. Does anyone here have any suggestions? I'm currently using Aiming.Pro and their training videos and exercises to grasp the concept.

There is good training game on Steam, called Kovaak. It's used by a lot of FPS pro's for warming ups.

It's a small investment, but the returns can be huge.

I have around ~1000 hours on Kovaaks, I used to use it to warm up before I played apex but to be honest aim trainers arent really as good as people say they are, the best way to get good with kb&m is to just grind a game you enjoy.

The best thing that you can do nowadays is honestly hands-on grinding.
Throwing yourself head first into the action will show you the better way to play.

I would suggest getting black ops 3, and practcing against bot lobbies

or csgo since its free, you can join a public bot lobby service etc

I've played FPS games for a very long time, I would suggest finding a mouse you're comfortable with, also I would suggest having a really low sensitivity, I have always used 800 DPI with a 1.3 game sense on majority of the games I play.

Your best game to play for aim training I would say is most likely CSGO and you can download aim maps and just train on t there.

Logitech g pro mouse, Keyboard blackwidow chroma has been my personal fav for over 5+ years

Is getting a bigger space out of the question? Is the small space causing you problems? Depending on what game you play, upping your sensitivity might not be a terrible idea, as there are plenty of competitive games where pinpoint accuracy isn't the most important thing.

If you only use the space for gaming, getting a TKL (tenkeyless) keyboard will save some space and allow you to place your arms closer together, which ought to be a little more comfortable as well. Downside is you won't have a number pad, but I never use them anyway.

Aim Lab is free on Steam right now. Friend told me to download it to compare scores in a particular mode lol. Other than that, I haven't used it a lot. It has a LOT of different scenarios and settings, though. You should be able to come pretty close at replicating situations you'll face in lots of games. If it's easier to practice in the game itself, though, that'll be better.

I have used every type of switch and mechanical keyboard you can think of, right now I have zealios v2 67g on a polycarbonate alice clone (rukia)

I really enjoy the tactile feel of the keys and it doesn't bother me in games, I actually like the feedback to know when I have pushed the button, especially if i am anticipating pushing a button.

Feel free to message me if you want to talk about it I have loads of info.

If you're not already a mechanical keyboard hobbyist, you probably won't find anything wrong with Corsair's K65, or the cheaper K63. Both are on Amazon at the moment. It's what I used before my current board, a Vortexgear Cypher split spacebar.
