Lisp Hackers Amateurs Welcome - DudeONym - Nov 16, 2020 Hey, I've been absent for a while. My old account (PseudoMander) no longer exists 😭 I've come back to once again try to drag some people into LISP. There's no crew yet, and there won't be unless you join me. I'm hoping to set up a nice little Emacs Lisp community (Should probably be called Ehax) Preferably I'd like to find some people who are already familiar with LISP, but if new users are willing to learn from scratch I am happy to mentor. I'm quite new to Emacs (using it on and off, mostly off, for 2 or so years) but I've been using LISP family languages for at least 6-7 years now. I feel we could create a very nice group project, create some shared definitions, and network our editors together for some hijinks. Emacs can run IRC, so we would likely coordinate through there (and Github) until we build our own custom server. Show of hands if anyone is interested in putting something together? If anyone has questions about why they should learn LISP and/or Emacs or what type of stuff we'll work on, or what kind of stuff I've been working on, then I'm here for discussion. RE: Lisp Hackers Amateurs Welcome - DudeONym - Nov 18, 2020 This is the response I expected. I'll try again in a few months. I can be found on irc freenode #emacs RE: Lisp Hackers Amateurs Welcome - Harley Quinn - Nov 19, 2020 I'm always up to learn something new, if this offer is still open, let me know. I know Python, some C# and some Java RE: Lisp Hackers Amateurs Welcome - lulzcat - Nov 19, 2020 (Nov 19, 2020 01:59 PM)Harley Quinn Wrote: I'm always up to learn something new, if this offer is still open, let me know. Thanks dude, i have no idea how to use that freenode irc though, so i'll probably have to leave it RE: Lisp Hackers Amateurs Welcome - MiguelSanchez - Jan 21, 2022 Hey, new account, I forgot my login details, it had been a few years. I'm DudeONym, and PseudoMander, and a few other names. I'm absolutely keen to learn/teach with people. Usually working on some interesting stuff, I'll do a big code dump soon. |
