Punishment/fines for breaking COVID quarantine? - SIM-4608916 - Nov 22, 2020
What punishment/fines does the citizens in your country get if they break their COVID quarantine?
In my country, all they get is a fine of $ 2,220 USD (Scandinavia), which i think is ridicilous low given the circumstances?

I'm my country is 30,000 pesos for breaking quarantine protocols like mass gathering.

How much would it be if they have been given a 1-2 week quarantine in their own home, which they aren't allowed to leave?

They are not allowed to leave their home but they do, and not reported. But there is one who has been filed a case and I don't know what are its consequences.

Whoa that was a great fine brother but hoping it will be implemented properly and people will abide by the rules.

In my country it is about PLN 30,000 (7,987.01 US dollars). However, from what I hear from friends and people in my country, it is rare for someone to receive a full sentence for breaking quarantine (or these are isolated, unpublished cases).

Seems like there is a lot of differences depending on where we live.
In my country that fine isn't really that much for most people, and therefore many of them don't care about breaking the quarantine.
But yeah, only severe incidents results in getting that maximum fine.

If you break the new England lockdown rules, you could get a fixed penalty notice (FPN), the Covid equivalent of a parking ticket. Since March, almost 20,000 have been issued. These now start at £200, rising to £6,400. Large parties can be shut down by the police - with fines of up to £10,000

Yeah from what i've seen and heard they didn't do much in the early stages, which has resulted in 6,400 deaths and over 208,000 infections.
