Contracted Customer Replies Only - 123 - Dec 17, 2020
Hello HF Community,
I hope you are doing well.
I would like to suggest one feature that can be added in Marketplace Threads. I would like to hear your opinions on this.
Feature: A Filter Option where I can read the replies of “Contracted Customers” in Marketplace Threads.
Reason: Sometimes a Marketplace Thread has Replies of 100 pages or so and it’s very difficult to review that product/service before buying. It would be very helpful to see what genuine customers feel about that service or product.
How it can be done: A simple option “Customer Replies” can be added in Thread options. Any member can click that option to see replies from Customers only.
Pros: It would be helpful for buyers as well as sellers.
Cons: It might be time consuming to add this feature. I’m not good with coding so really don’t know if it’s worth time and efforts.

This is actually a pretty nice idea, or even having it so contracted customers' replies come up before all the other posts by default. So vouches, reviews, and whatnot would be easier to view. I guess that may be a little more work for the staff than it'd be for users to search through the thread though. However I see where you're coming from, a lot of marketplace threads only have positive reviews and quotes in there OP. Thus making it harder to judge the quality of their service, and decide trustworthy levels. I think this would be most useful to newer members than anyone else as they don't necessarily know as much about how the marketplace works here.

Great suggestion actually. Would be a lovely tool for both vendors and buyers alike. I am interested to see what others think of this; most especially vendors.

Awesome suggestion. Kind of like "verified purchase" on Amazon; than again, with respect to Amazon there is are swaths of sellers who reimburse people to buy and review their item so they can farm "verified" reviews.

I like this suggestion as well, should weed out a lot of LQ products covered by bumps and unnecessary posts allowing to see the real product reviews.

This is a legit really good idea. I also think it would help new users sort thru "real customers" vs people who know nothing.

While I do not oppose the idea, I am a firm believer before you buy anything here you should read the whole thread, even if it has 900 replies.

I don’t expect them to, because many won’t. I just think it would be wise if everyone actually spent 30 minutes doing some research before buying things here.

Consider "Customer Replies" as a quick reviewing process to see if it's worth doing extensive research.
