Do you prefer to lie or say the hurtful truth? - Speed Test - Dec 19, 2020
I mostly prefer to say the hurtful truth to someone instead lying to them and let them live in illusions.
But if they are important to me then I will say it very very carefully to not hurt them.

I always prefer to tell someone the truth rather than lie, lying usually leads to more lies and I like to keep my life simple

I would prefer to lie, or sugarcoat, but I'm not wired that way. I always say what's on my mind, unfiltered, and people get offended because of it.

Unfortunately, I know from experience that sometimes it is impossible to tell someone the truth without hurting him, however, I think that in each case the truth will be better than, as you said yourself, living in an illusion

All depends on the person in that situation, if it's someone i don't like, it wouldn't hurt my feelings to tell the truth
