I Got Scammed By User Sativa - sasatefa2009 - Dec 19, 2020
Hello Everyone,
As the title says there is a thief among you guys that got exposed today his name is Sativa
I made a post two days ago Looking For 85$ Amazon US Gift Card for [H] BTC
and he contacted me that he had it in exchange for 75% BTC and I agreed.
I went first because of course, he is older than me in the forum and got several deals before and the whole amount was just a frigging 64$😑.
Some of you might say I might have made a contract and that's what I said to him but he told me that a contract is not needed unless you have a post in the currency exchange forum.
All the proof of the deal between him and me are on HF convos, no contact happened outside the forum.

There is no contract as he deceived me and told me that a contract is not needed, it's all in the screenshots and I don't know the rules.

Didn't you get a message when you first joined asking you to read the rules? On top of that you just joined a random internet forum and trusted anyone without second guessing yourself? Didn't common sense kick in?
Anyway, a lesson learned despite it being costly, predatory behaviour from said user.

Totally understand that.
64$ isn't a loss to be saddened about.
But shouldn't he be banned for telling a user that a contract is not needed to make an exchange?

By the looks of the conversation he was misinforming you about contracts.

Also, contracts are required when dealing with someone.
Having a thread tied to the contract is optional - meaning you can create a contract without a thread being up.

Things like that do happen, I am not mourning my loss, I will be able to survive very well without the 64$ lol
As I said I only want everyone to be aware of this scammer user and warn others about his attitude until maybe the Administration bans his account if not for scamming me then for deceiving a member about the rules.

Gets scammed and then cries to me for being scammed while not using contracts. I guess saying read the welcome PM is useless as nobody reads it.

Edit: You can't have a CE thread outside CE. I guess you would know that if you read the Help Docs.
