yeah or when you are trying to SQL inject the mainframe of the defense network of a country and then boom, you just forgot how to inject the javascripts

depends on what you want to achieve but in general you need a scripting language like Python and the rest is all about technical knowledge (knowing how a specific software operates and how it is correctly configured) so that you can then start testing for some misconfigurations and potentially exploit them
