How would I approach cooking 7 steaks? - DizzyPope - Dec 29, 2020

As the title says I need to cook 7 steaks "at the same time" for new years eve.

I do not have a grill available nor an oven, as the oven is used for baked potatoes at a high temperature.

I really need some ideas, any suggestions? I'm starting to think this isnt possible at all, without ruining some of the steaks.

I'm also not the greatest cook but I originally only signed up for cooking 2 steaks..

Any tips are appreciated, thanks!

Get more then one pan at a time going on the stove?

Just cook them 2 by 2, leave them under an aluminum sheet, and when the last ones are cooked, reheat the first one on the stove for 15sc each side.
A nicely cooked steak does not need to be hot, in fact, you should even let it rest for 5 minutes to let the fiber relax.

If you have time get a sous vide device from Anova. You will thank me later after your guests will be impressed by the doneness of the steaks :)

Skillet steaks are good too. Sauté them in a little butter and Worstichire sauce and dump the juice on there after they're cooked. I would get 4 skillets and cook 4 at a time. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Not sure I can handle 4 at a time, so I was just thinking of doing em 2 by 2 and keeping them hot under some foil

Sous vide is actually the easiest way to cook a steak but you get restaurant grade results :)

Just set the temperature, throw the 7 steaks in a ziplock bag and let it bath for 1 hour. the doneness of the streak is base on the temperature you set - the app have it all preset.

then after the bath, take it out from the ziplock bag and pat it dry and you just need to sear it on an iron pan 1 minute each side with lots of butter. the result would be the best steak you or your guests have ever tasted outside of a restaurant!
