how can i stop people from cracking my software and using it for free is there a program i can use to encrypt it or something?
it has key based authentication but people are still cracking it and selling it as there own how can i stop this
its coded in c++ btw if that helps

You need to hardcode and use the web based authentication
or you could do watermark for each and every people, with unique build and binded with the hwid

What is the nature of your software?
If your software doesn't need user's resources to do its work then I would suggest you to make it server sided. That way even the cracker will read your code, it will be become useless.
If it is the other way around, then you can't protect it from being cracked. You can just make it harder not to be cracked.
