How can i protect myself from DDoS using OVH? - max5011 - Jan 5, 2021 How can i protect myself from DDoS using OVH? Hello, I'm currently using OVH provider. They say that they offer " DDoS Protection" Yet every attack under the sun is pinning my server. I know other servers that also use OVH and cannot be DDoSsed. Where am i going wrong? Does anyone have any tips/tricks/advice? RE: How can i protect myself from DDoS using OVH? - mutate - Jan 5, 2021 If you don't mind me asking, what type of attack(s) are they sending? What is being exhausted, what protocol(s), etc? Sort of pointless now since they have your IP but I would consider in the future implementing a reverse proxy service such as cloudflare. Not to say it's impossible to thwart but certainly makes it difficult for an amateur attacker. For ddos mitigation, use a packet analyzer to see what type of attacks are getting through OVH’s VAC so you can patch them out. Also make sure to drop obvious ddos vectors (NTP monlist, IP Block ranges, known ddos strings).
